Three young lives from the present are mysteriously destined to travel back in time through a portal to an old forgotten city. It is an era of civil war among the people of Siam where the fight is to protect the capital city of Ayuthaya from being conquered and overthrown. Bloodshed is about to unfold among the small group of villagers loyal to their land and prepared to battle to the death with the opposing military troops of Ong Mien, known for their cut throat, piercing swords. Siyama led by, Kru Jom, uses religious sorcery to protect his small village located amidst a ravine populated by only a mere one thousand villagers and two hundred rooftops. By being the choice of passage towards the capital city of Ayuthaya, Siyama becomes a targeted obstacle for the gruesome military brigade of Ong Mien. Anna, Gif, and Bote from present day Bangkok are thrown into a gateway through time after coincidentally conversing about the history of warfare that took place in the ancient days of what was then called Siam. They suddenly appear out of no where right at the onset of battle causing utter confusion and havoc among the soldiers. These girls are forced to put their book-learned history knowledge to the test to see if they can save Siyama from being trampled through.

Jesse Johnson’s “Alien Agent” is less a sci-fi movie about invading aliens as it’s a martial arts movie with invading aliens. The film stars Mark Dacascos as the alien agent of the title, sent to Earth to stop an alien renegade military unit from creating a “gateway” that would connect Earth to their alien homeworld, after which they would use the portal to invade Earth. For you see, their homeworld is dying, and they need a replacement. While the good alien folks back home are willing to search for an uninhabited planet to start over again, Billy Zane and company are not so nice, and plans to invade Earth.

On his quest to stop aliens Isis (Amelia Cooke) and Saylon (Billy Zane), Rykker (Dacascos) gets unwanted help from a teenage human girl, Julie (Emma Lahana), whose family falls victim to the aliens. The aliens themselves are slowly but surely building their gateway, a Stargate-like device, with the help of a nebbish human scientist played by Kim Coates, spectacular in a goofy, twitchy performance. Add to that various subplots involving a back history between Rykker and Isis, which allow Isis to “see” Rykker’s location, which makes chasing him a whole lot easier.

Brutal Mexican drug lord Santiago Rodriguez busts out of jail with the help of his uncle, the head of Catalina Cartel. But his ”Get Out Of Jail” card is not free. Its price is $15 million - the money his then girlfriend Maria hid after he was arrested by reckless police detective Travis Roundtree- and it won’t be easy getting it back. Santiago’s got two big problems:Maria now hates him and she is the only one who knows where the loot is stashed. There is also the legendary Thorn, a vicius hit man plotting revenge for the death of his niece. But Travis has it even worse he begins falling for Maria after being ordered to tack down Santiago at all costs.

Jesse Johnson’s “Alien Agent” is less a sci-fi movie about invading aliens as it’s a martial arts movie with invading aliens. The film stars Mark Dacascos as the alien agent of the title, sent to Earth to stop an alien renegade military unit from creating a “gateway” that would connect Earth to their alien homeworld, after which they would use the portal to invade Earth. For you see, their homeworld is dying, and they need a replacement. While the good alien folks back home are willing to search for an uninhabited planet to start over again, Billy Zane and company are not so nice, and plans to invade Earth.

On his quest to stop aliens Isis (Amelia Cooke) and Saylon (Billy Zane), Rykker (Dacascos) gets unwanted help from a teenage human girl, Julie (Emma Lahana), whose family falls victim to the aliens. The aliens themselves are slowly but surely building their gateway, a Stargate-like device, with the help of a nebbish human scientist played by Kim Coates, spectacular in a goofy, twitchy performance. After a blistering big screen debut with London To Brighton (2006), English writer-director Paul Andrew Williams goes a different way with The Cottage. Once again he's angling for gut-level thrills, but this time he does it with a one-two punch of comedy and horror. At times the structure feels unsteady but overall it's much bolder and more fun than the average Hollywood slasher flick. And in the midst of all the chaos, Andy Serkis is solid as a brick house.

Initially it's Serkis who provides the quiet menace as David, a man brought to boiling point by his spineless brother Peter (Reece Shearsmith). They've just kidnapped Tracey (Jennifer Ellison), the daughter of a powerful crook, and are holding her hostage in a remote cottage in the middle of a forest. No doubt something lurks in 'them there' woods, but there isn't a sniff of it for an unusually long while. Compared to the manic energy of his first film, Williams lets the anticipation build slowly before a psychotic farmer comes to reap a harvest of human heads.
